Cindy Spivey is the parent of 3 grown children. Two girls adopted at ages 8 and 10 from Chatham Co. Department of Family and Children's Services, and one Biological son. She is also the grandmother of 9, one of which is adopted. She has taught preschool and worked with children with developmental disabilities in an equestrian therapy program. Her college training has been in Early Childhood Development.

Cindy understands the need for post adoption services and feels strongly that these services would have been a great help to her family when they began their adoptions. Cindy has been a Resource Advisor with the Center since May of 2002. Cindy shares her personal and professional knowledge as well as her experience with the many families seeking assistance and information through the Center. Cindy provides resources and support to families residing in Region 12 and parts of Region 9. She has developed wonderful Trainings for parents. One in particular, "Triggers" ...is a much requested Training during the holidays.
